Children’s parties have come a REALLY long way since around 4-5 years back. Having been in this industry for a similar period, I’ve had the privilege of seeing the transformation, from when the kiddie parties were all about a deluge of primary colors and balloons, to something more subdued, sophisticated, coordinated, and most of all, STYLISH. Enter, event styling.
Now, if you’d like to further turn it up a notch, take a step further and invest on something that is truly event-worthy: the ultra-sophisticated dessert table. For birthday party decorations, there was a transition from balloons to styling. For sweets, there was (and is still happening) a movement from the candy buffet, to the dessert table.
And I’m not talking about just the normal type of dessert table, filled with fondant cupcakes. For me, the ultimate expression of the dessert table is one that is filled with GOURMET PASTRIES:
What a feast! I can smell the freshly baked pastries already! This masterful dessert spread was created by Chef Nikki of Simply Paris. Here are some more gastronomical delights of her creation:
Chef Nikki’s version of the Chocolate Fudge Cake. Just love the texture on that surface!
Prosciutto and Ham Galletes. Yum yum!
This was a crowd-favorite. Blueberry cheesecake, but in a bottle jar! Perfect for giveaways.
Pain Au Chocolat. Who knows how to pronounce that correctly? I probably don’t but it does sound DELICIOUS!
A perfectly formed, perfectly rounded Quiche Lorraine.
Finally, here’s a closing shot of Simply Paris’ spread at Helowie’s birthday party:
